Research activities

The research activities of the Department's staff are carried out within the scientific discipline of food technology and nutrition.

It’s tangible results include numerous publications and patents. Scientific achievements are published in highly ranked journals, such as the Journal of Dairy Science, Nutrition, Foods, Molecules, and the International Journal of Molecular Sciences.

The significance of our scientists is also evidenced by the number of research tasks carried out, their scientific activity at international forums, as well as positions in rankings and citation lists.


The conduct of research is facilitated by increasingly excellent research and technological infrastructure. The well-equipped laboratories of the Department ensure higher standards of research and education. In the technological workshops, the production of model products based on innovative processing technologies is possible. Modern research apparatus allows for the development of predictive tools for optimizing the course of technological processes and predicting changes in the quality of stored raw materials and products.
